Characteristics: This membrane of collagen shows certain distinctive properties which make it an ideal medical device: • MEMBRACEL® acts as a physical barrier against opportunistic microorganisms, the residual humidity of the antiseptic treatment is enough to adhere it to wounds; • MEMBRACEL® is so transparent that allows to see the cicatrization development; • MEMBRACEL® is porous, with such a selective permeability that injuries can be treated without its posterior withdrawal; this last item is economically very important since, if applied on a sanitized “bed”, just one membrane is needed for the total healing; • MEMBRACEL® can be stored at environmental temperature for ever if package is unbroken.
