ZAO “Simvol” is one of the oldest glass
factories of 200 years old and unique
factory in Russia and now in Europe, that
produces sheet glass by upward drawing
method (Fourcault’s method).
The quality of glass corresponds to
the GOST 111-2001standard. Our glass has
the following properties:
- Transparency of glass. Transparency
coefficient is up to 92%.
- Optical properties of glass. There is
possibility of measuring of such
characteristics as light reflection, light
refraction, sun-protective and heat-
retention properties.
- Chemical resistance to aggressive
environments.
- Hardness of glass, depending on chemical
composition, is 4000-10000 Mpa.
- Density of silicate glass is 2500-2600
