DFI's Head Office in Edmonton hosts a full ERW pipe mill capable of fabricating piles in custom lengths eliminating field splices to reach most desired depths. DFI fabricates steel pipe piles in 7 standard industry diameters (4 1/2" [114 mm], 5 1/2” [141 mm], 6 5/8" [168 mm], 8 5/8" [219 mm], 10 3/4" [273 mm], 12 3/4" [324 mm], 16" [406 mm]) up to ½ in (.5 mm) wall. DFI is capable of Submerged Arc Welding larger sizes easily obtained by our purchasing department as well. As a CWB certified shop, DFI fabricates its own screw piles. DFI also supplies made to order pile caps.
DFI takes great pride in designing and building most of its equipment in house. DFI has a full fleet of picker type trucks with drop hammer piledrivers, custom designed and built 40 Ton Track Cranes with hydraulic hammers for piledriving, as well as various other premium piledrivers. We are capable of driving Pipe Piles of up to 36" diameter and piles as long as 26 meters (85 feet) as one piece with no splices. DFI's equipment is capable of driving piles up to a 30 degree battered angle, as well as installing H-Beam Piles and Sheet Piles.
